Graphic response to news article

The article was taken from the Guardian on Wednesday
28 September. It made out that amazons kindle fire was
going in to battle against the ipad.
(even though the products are almost incomparable)

British Film on the Prom

I wanted to make the prom into a cinema by placing
popcorn near the bench and cropping the type to
make the view look like a section of the screen.

Above is a typographic approach to the previous poster.
I looked at late 40s and 50s film credits for inspiration
and used Windsor MT a favourite of Woody Allan for
some of the event information.

Design A Typeface

I created these forms by laying different inks that I blow into letter forms.
I wanted it to look erratic and thought the best way of doing this would be
by using a process that i had little control over.

Typographic Identity

I wanted to reflect Westwood's quirky personality
and Britishness in an interesting way. I decided to
take a photographic approach to achieve this.

Outside of Vivienne Westwood invitation.

 Invitation opened.
